Our Mission

We want to make a lasting change by proving our leadership at our school and community by increasing our classmates' interest in college and STEM education to better ourselves, the world, our future.

Hawk Girls Build LA consists of ten middle school girls with the motivation to become active members within their school community and strive to increase their classmates’ interest in college and STEM education through leadership, engagement, and facilitating opportunities for learning.

NEWS FEATURE:
October 17, 2016- Girls Build LA Orientation & Design Challenge

Among 500 students from 50 LA county middle and high schools, the Hawk Girls Build LA officers attended a full day of seminars by USC Alumni and learned about how to campign through social media, ethics, and goal setting. The team will launch their website, email, Twitter and Instagram in January 2017.

Girls Build LA & The Promise Fund:

This is the second year Hawk Girls Build LA will be practicipating in the Girls Build LA intiative to increase female college & STEM interest and action in their communities.
